Possible in New England and New York

For 50 years, Dollars for Scholars has been helping students in communities across America pursue postsecondary education. From Maine to California, more than 40,000 dedicated volunteers devote their time and energy to raising funds, supporting students and making a real difference in the lives of those in their community.

As a part of Scholarship America, the nation’s largest non-profit, private-sector scholarship organization, our job is to help our chapters, our volunteers and our students. We work with a variety of community programs to help students get ready for college; we help them get into college through our chapter scholarships—which, in our region, average over $1,500; we encourage our students to stay in school through 2nd, 3rd and 4th-year awards, and we keep track of students in the hope that they will support their local chapter after graduation.

The regional office of New England Dollars for Scholars serves the largest Dollars for Scholars region in the country. If you are not affiliated with a Dollars for Scholars chapter, or don't have one in your town, we would be delighted to help you start one, and if you would like to support New England Dollars for Scholars, visit the Donate page. The regional office is supported by contributions from individuals throughout New England.

 

Dollars for Scholars National Recognition Awards

Dollars for Scholars National Recogniton Awards are now open for application! To nominate your chapter or one of your volunteers for Chapter of the Year, New Chapter of the Year and/or Volunteer of the year, head over to scholarshipamerica.org/awards.

We will be honoring separate regional winners for New York and New England in each category, so be sure you click carefully! Winners in each region will be entered in the National Chapter and Volunteer of the Year competition, where they can win $1,000 scholarships and national recognition.

 

Welcome to Our New York Chapters!

New England Dollars for Scholars was recently joined by over 100 new chapters, who had previously been a part of the New York Dollars for Scholars region. We will provide these new chapters the same outstanding level of service and support; New York chapter representatives, please feel free to contact Lynne or David in the regional office with any questions or comments you might have.
