Chapter Activity:
Enhance Your High School Partnership

While a partnership with all of the schools in the chapter’s community is advisable, it is critical to have a close relationship with the high school(s) the chapter serves. The partnership can be very involved or it can be casual. At minimum, the school should be aware of the chapter and its work, and it should be willing to work with the chapter to distribute its scholarship applications and assist in award determination.

· Participate in school-sponsored college fairs, college admissions seminars, and college financial aid nights; be sure to include the high school in chapter-sponsored events of this kind.

· Keep school administrators and guidance staff aware of chapter work and award results, even if the school has its own, separate scholarship program.

· Be effusive in your thanks for any assistance school personnel offers your chapter, including thank you notes and even token gifts every year.
