Collegiate Partners

One of the more important benefits of being affiliated with Scholarship America and Northeast Dollars for Scholars is the Collegiate Partners program. You can search for Collegiate Partners here, or click here to download the directory of more than 500 institutions, including more than 160 in the Northeast.

In short, Collegiate Partners are schools that sign an agreement with Scholarship America on how our scholarships will be treated once they arrive on campus. Collegiate Partners agree to use our scholarships to first reduce any unmet need in the student's financial aid package. If unmet need is zero, the schools agrees to reduce the "self-help" component (loans and work-study). In the Directory you will note that all schools set a limit on how much they will allow to be used to reduce loans and work-study. Many schools agree to reduce "up to the amount of self-help."

In addition, there are 120+ schools who agree to match the chapter's scholarship. They are listed in blue in the Collegiate Partners Directory.
